WooCommerce to Shopify migration services

Move to Shopify with a plan for the whole store.

A successful platform move needs more than a product import.

PRIZIX helps businesses plan and carry out WooCommerce-to-Shopify migrations around product data, customer experience and daily operations. We identify what can transfer, what needs rebuilding and what should stay behind before agreeing on the work.

Map the work before moving the data

What we review in a WooCommerce migration.

Deliverables depend on your store and the agreed scope. Not every export or plugin has a direct Shopify equivalent.

01 / Catalog

Products and merchandising

  • Product fields, variants and images
  • SKU and inventory data quality
  • Categories mapped to collections
  • Product options and custom fields
  • Content that needs cleanup before import
02 / Operations

Customers and workflows

  • Customer and historical order requirements
  • Reviews and account experience
  • Subscription or membership dependencies
  • Shipping, payment and fulfillment needs
  • Plugin replacements and app costs
03 / Launch

Content and transition

  • Pages and blog content inventory
  • Important URL and redirect mapping
  • Storefront design requirements
  • Test orders and key purchase flows
  • Launch timing and final data updates

Transfer limitations

Some things move. Others need a new approach.

Shopify's migration documentation notes that WooCommerce customer passwords cannot transfer, while historical orders, reviews and WordPress content require methods beyond a basic product import.

We review these requirements before choosing a migration method. Payment details, active subscriptions and plugin-specific behavior need separate assessment; they should not be assumed to transfer with a spreadsheet.

Questions we resolve early

  • Which historical records need to remain accessible?
  • How should returning customers sign in?
  • Which custom product options must be recreated?
  • Do external systems depend on WooCommerce IDs or URLs?
  • How will new orders be handled near launch?

The migration plan documents known limitations and decisions rather than promising identical behavior across two different platforms.

An agreed transition process

Prepare, verify, then switch.

  1. 01

    Assess

Review available data, plugins, current URLs and business requirements.

  2. 02

    Map & build

Agree on data mapping, storefront design and replacement functionality.

  3. 03

    Verify

Check agreed records, sample products, purchase flows and redirects.

  4. 04

    Coordinate launch

Plan final updates, the domain transition and agreed post-launch checks.

Search visibility

Plan for URLs—not just the new design.

A platform move can change product, collection and content URLs. We can scope an inventory of important existing URLs, map them to relevant destinations and check the agreed redirects after launch.

Useful metadata and content should be considered alongside that mapping. These steps help reduce avoidable mistakes; they do not guarantee unchanged rankings or traffic.

Is Shopify the right destination?

Not automatically. If your store depends on specialized WooCommerce functionality, the replacement cost or operational tradeoffs may outweigh the benefit of moving.

We compare your requirements before treating migration as the answer. Sometimes improving the existing setup is the more practical next step.

Migration questions

Before you move from WooCommerce.

How much does a WooCommerce-to-Shopify migration cost?

The estimate depends on data quality, product complexity, historical records, custom features, integrations and design scope. Shopify plans, paid themes, migration tools and apps are separate unless explicitly included in the proposal.

Will the Shopify store look exactly like my WooCommerce site?

Not automatically. A WooCommerce theme does not become a Shopify theme. We agree on the layouts and functionality to recreate, adapt or redesign.

Can customers keep their passwords?

No. WooCommerce passwords do not transfer to Shopify. The customer sign-in approach needs to be planned for the account system used by the new store.

Can we keep selling while the new store is being built?

The current store can usually remain active during preparation. We agree on how to handle changes and orders near launch, along with any expected interruption. We do not promise zero downtime without reviewing the setup.

Will you migrate every historical order and review?

Only if included and technically supported. We assess the source data and import method, identify limitations and agree on which records will transfer or be retained separately.

How long will the move take?

We set the schedule after reviewing your data, design, integration requirements and approvals. A straightforward catalog move and a store with custom subscriptions are different projects.
